Hi!
Today, I'm starting my new blog. My name is Stefan, I'm from Germany and this blog will obviously be about me. You will get to know me through my posts, so I won't do a big self introduction. I'll make some "what I like and what I don't like"-lists soon, so just a really short sentence:
I'm Stefan, 20 years old, living in a smaller city near Hannover, Germany and my biggest hobby is Japan, the Japanese language and their culture. That's what my blog will be about. I also have some plans, I'll tell you about that later. First of all, my actual first post:
Yesterday, I turned 20. Just one day before, on Staturday, I told myself to change some things with turning 20. The thing is, I'm a procrastinator. I've been one my whole life, and I still am now, and even though I finished school last year it is still a big problem. I even have problems with starting to do some stuff for Japanese, even though it's my dream to be able to speak Japanese. Maybe I'm not serious enough yet. Anyway, starting this blog is my first step on doing better. I don't know if it will do any good, but I wanted to make a blog for some time now, so it's definitely worth a try.
Now, regarding the "plans" I mentioned above: This blog will turn into a Japan travel blog in August. You're right, I'm finally going to Japan! =) I'll stay there for about 10 month with a working holiday visa. I still don't have ANY specific plans, but I'll keep you up to date. I'll also make some posts about the paperwork and stuff for the visa. Maybe there are some people who are interested in this.
At the moment, my preparations contain learning Japanese and saving up money. Japan is a really expensive country, and who knows how long it'll take to get a job there. I already did some research on jobs and apartments in Japan, but I only found out that it's not easy for a foreigner to get a job in Japan and that apartments are expensive... I'll go on with that research later.
I'm also thinking about vlogging on YouTube because I love watching other J-vlogger and I really want to be part of that community. But I've never made something like that and I think I'm not really "camera-suitable". But I'm going to buy a new camera soon (I need one for Japan anyway) so maybe I'll try that out some time.
